Photos and Video

Though we work hard in order to compete in the season, it is not always work, work, work. We have plenty of time to have fun and join in some team bonding experiences. Taking video clips and photos is a fun way in which we grow as a team and show our love for robotics to the community. They allow us to show our friends and families how much we fun we have in robotics and what robotics truly means to us. These video clips and photos represent our growth as not only a team but also as individuals.  So please, take a look at our Video Clip Selection and our Photo Gallery.

Submissions

Throughout our FIRST experience, we have created many submission in order to enthusiastically compete. Listed bellow are the submissions from previous years. Enjoy looking and reading them

2008 AutoDesk Visualization Award Submission

The theme this year was to “design an invention for your community.” It seemed best to present a more global approach to the idea of community, focusing on the “world community” and the need for international well being. Although it is not a physical invention by the regular definition, the idea of considering others is something everyone can keep in mind.

2007 AutoDesk Visualization Award Submission

All FIRST teams are invited to create a 30 second animation submission for the Autodesk Visualization Design Competition using Autodesk 3ds Max software that was donated by Autodesk. Teams are challenged to design an animation that best demonstrates the concept of the theme. This years theme is: Thinking Green

It is called by many names, but it means one thing: caring about the planet we live on, and making sure that the things we create have as little negative impact on the Earth as possible. ~ http://firstbase.autodesk.com

Our team decided to show what the world would look like if we decided to not worry or care about the environment and continue paving over the green space and building with out concerns for others. The first clip is our story board, or how we envisioned our animation to move. The second is the animation we submitted for consideration and was the peer-selected winner at the Midwest Regional. We would like to thank our mentors from Marquette University’s New Media Center – Nick Pumilia, Michael Lloyd and Diana Sroka.

Depending on connection speed these files may take a while to download, please be patient. You will need a movie player capable of playing Apple’s Quicktime format such as Quicktime or MPlayer.
